What Is a Pressure Vessel?
A pressure vessel is a container designed to hold gases or liquids at a pressure significantly different from the ambient pressure. Think: tanks, separators, boilers, and even some specialty piping systems.
Because of the risks involved—like high temperatures, corrosion, and the potential for rupture—pressure vessels must be built to strict codes and certifications.

If your application involves high-pressure storage, steam, or chemical containment, you’ll likely need an ASME-certified fabricator. These shops go through rigorous testing, documentation, and inspection to meet Section VIII of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code.
